Background and challenge
Herbal tea is hot-filled at around 100°C. After cooling, negative pressure builds inside the bottle; ordinary round bottles can panel or deform, hurting shelf appearance.
Approach
A square PP body with vacuum-relief panels was used. Under negative pressure the panels flex inward to absorb the load and keep the body straight.
Result
FT-070 500ml moved to mass production; in 100°C/30min hot-fill validation, leakage was 0/5 and the body remained stable.
